Practice Head, Cyber Security: March 2022 – Present


  1. As the practice leader, own the financial performance and success (P&L) of the practice company-wide. Responsible for all actions necessary to create, execute and monitor the strategy that drives Zones’ products and services growth in the Cyber Security Practice area by working collaboratively with all relevant functions within Zones, as well as with its partner community.

  3. Creates and executes the strategy for industry leading profitable growth of the Practice with the following focus areas:


  1. Strategy:
    Performs environment scans that include reviewing and assessing overall market trends encompassing customers, technology, original equipment manufacturers, industry forums and events, competitor landscape, and analyst reports. Elicit inputs from the field, inside-sales, marketing, as well as partner and product management teams. Create and maintain a comprehensive go-to-market strategy based on these inputs, as well as apply personal perspective and experience, in collaboration with the key stakeholder groups. Present long term (3-year) plan and annual strategy to the Zones executive leadership team, and once approved, oversee its execution. Conduct performance reviews to ensure that the strategy and plans are delivering expected results.

  2. Product:
    Work with the product and partner management team, as well as original equipment manufacturers, to help create and execute a segment focused product strategy. Decide on which new partners, technologies, and product offerings to bet and focus on for each segment. Conduct detailed original equipment manufacturer product segment reviews to ensure that Zones execution and results are aligned to strategy and plan expectations. Ensure that Zones’ partner status with key original equipment manufacturer is achieved, retained, or improved upon, through the appropriate certifications, target goals and objectives.

  3. Services:
    Ensure that the solutions and services catalog of the practice is clearly articulated and propagated to the sales and pre-sales teams. Drive the creation and launch of new services and solutions (hardware and software products, and services), as well as ongoing refinement and upgrading of existing services in collaboration with the product and partner management services team, and monitor ongoing opportunity pipelines, their execution and successful completion. Ensure that delivery leadership teams are aligned with the services strategy and plan, and that they possess (or develop) the required competencies in house and/or through partner networks in order to successfully deliver services.

  4. Sales Enablement:
    Ensure that the sales enablement team is assisting the sales team in each channel-segment to effectively pursue and accomplish the goals set, through training, account and pursuit planning, pipeline reviews, and direct involvement in key pursuits.

  5. Sales/Pre-Sales:
    Ensure that the sales/pre-sales teams have the right competency mix, capacity, and tools to meet the targets set. Conduct pipeline reviews and ensure that the win ratio of deals is above industry standard.

  6. Marketing:
    Work with the marketing team to help define marketing materials, branding, promotions, and events for enabling the practice’s growth.

  7. Innovation and Thought Leadership:
    Build capabilities in the Zones Innovation Center to showcase relevant technologies for demos, proof-of-concepts, serve as a lab for our customers, as well as Zones. Leverage all relevant media communication methods and forums, such as: webinars, partner and industry conferences and events, publications, Zones customer conferences, and social media to demonstrate Zones’ thought leadership in the practice. Be the face of Zones to key original equipment manufacturers, analyst, and customers at events.
